Skin Cancer

The most common eyelid malignancy is basal cell carcinoma, representing 90-95% of malignant eyelid tumors.  Biopsy to confirm the suspicion of malignancy followed by total surgical excision with reconstruction is the treatment of choice.  Surgery offers a superior cosmetic result with the lowest rate of recurrence.

Dr. Perman works closely with many Mohs surgeons in the Washington, Maryland and Virginia area to coordinate excision and reconstruction, to ensure comprehensive treatment.
